Skanda Purana — Kashi Khanda, Shloka 47

भौमाष्टम्यां तत्र नरः स्नात्वा संतर्पयेत्पितॄन् । दृष्ट्वा च भैरवं कालं कलिं कालं च संजयेत्

bhaumāṣṭamyāṃ tatra naraḥ snātvā saṃtarpayetpitṝn | dṛṣṭvā ca bhairavaṃ kālaṃ kaliṃ kālaṃ ca saṃjayet

Vào ngày Bhāuma Aṣṭamī, người ta nên tắm tại đó và làm lễ khiến các bậc tổ tiên (pitṛ) được thỏa mãn. Lại được chiêm bái Bhairava—chính là Thời Gian—thì thắng được Kali và còn thắng cả Thời Gian.
