skaṃda uvāca | vārāṇasyāṃ viśālākṣī kṣetrasya parameṣṭadā | viśālatīrthaṃ gaṃgāyāṃ kṛtvā pṛṣṭhe vyavasthitā

Skanda nói: Tại Vārāṇasī, Nữ thần Viśālākṣī là vị chủ tể tối thượng của thánh địa ấy. Sau khi thiết lập Viśāla Tīrtha trên sông Gaṅgā, Ngài an trụ nơi đó như sự hiện diện hộ trì.
