स्कंद उवाच । नामधेयानि वक्ष्यामि योगिनीनां घटोद्भव । आकर्ण्य यानि पापानि क्षयंति भविनां क्षणात्
skaṃda uvāca | nāmadheyāni vakṣyāmi yoginīnāṃ ghaṭodbhava | ākarṇya yāni pāpāni kṣayaṃti bhavināṃ kṣaṇāt
Skanda phán: “Hỡi Ghaṭodbhava (Vyāsa), ta sẽ tuyên thuyết danh hiệu các Yoginī; chỉ cần nghe, tội lỗi của chúng sinh liền tiêu diệt trong khoảnh khắc.”
Skanda
Tirtha: Kāśī
Type: kshetra
Listener: Vyāsa (Ghaṭodbhava)
Scene: Skanda formally announces he will enumerate the Yoginīs’ names and declares their instantaneous sin-destroying power upon hearing.
Sacred names (nāma) are presented as spiritually potent; even hearing them is said to destroy sin swiftly.
Kāśī’s spiritual atmosphere is implied as the backdrop where Yoginī traditions carry extraordinary purificatory power.
Śravaṇa (hearing) of the Yoginī names is itself praised as a purifying practice.
