न खल्वयमृतोंऽडस्थ इति स्नेहादभाषत । तदा प्रभृति लोकेयं मार्तंड इति चोच्यते
na khalvayamṛtoṃ'ḍastha iti snehādabhāṣata | tadā prabhṛti lokeyaṃ mārtaṃḍa iti cocyate
Vì lòng thương mến, nàng nói: “Chắc chắn chàng không chết trong quả trứng.” Từ đó về sau, ở thế gian này chàng được gọi là Mārtaṇḍa.
