कृतोपनयनः सोथ विद्यां जग्राह भूरिशः । अथ पित्रानभिज्ञातो द्यूतकर्मरतोऽभवत्
kṛtopanayanaḥ sotha vidyāṃ jagrāha bhūriśaḥ | atha pitrānabhijñāto dyūtakarmarato'bhavat
Sau khi cử hành lễ Upanayana (thọ dây thiêng), chàng học được rất nhiều. Nhưng về sau, không để cha hay biết, chàng lại đắm vào việc cờ bạc.
