Skanda Purana — Brahma Khanda, Shloka 36

देवालयाग्रभूमौ तं स्थापयासुरादृताः । भस्मी बभूव सहसा गोवत्साग्रे निरूपितः

devālayāgrabhūmau taṃ sthāpayāsurādṛtāḥ | bhasmī babhūva sahasā govatsāgre nirūpitaḥ

Họ cung kính đặt hắn trên nền đất trước tiền đình đền thờ; tức khắc hắn hóa thành tro, như thể bị đặt trước một bê con của bò mẹ, biểu tượng của sự trong sạch.
