Bỏ nơi chốn, hết thảy thương nhân và những người khác đều ra đi. Bấy giờ Śrīmātā, hỡi con, liền nhận lấy hình tướng Mātaṅgī theo phương cách ấy.
Rudra (Śiva)
Tirtha: धर्मारण्य
Type: kshetra
Listener: पुत्र / सुत (son)
Scene: Merchants and townsfolk depart with carts and bundles; in the forest clearing, Śrīmātā manifests as Mātaṅgī—dark-hued, regal, protective—preparing to confront the threat.
When communities are distressed, the Goddess is depicted as manifesting in a fitting form to restore protection and dharma.
Dharmāraṇya, where Śrīmātā’s manifestation as Mātaṅgī is narrated as part of the site’s greatness.
No direct prescription; the verse introduces a theophany (divine form-taking) that later grounds worship at the site.
