व्याघ्रेणापहृतां पत्नीं वीक्ष्य विप्रोऽतिदुःखितः । रुरोद हा प्रिये बाले हा कांते हा पतिव्रते
vyāghreṇāpahṛtāṃ patnīṃ vīkṣya vipro'tiduḥkhitaḥ | ruroda hā priye bāle hā kāṃte hā pativrate
Thấy vợ mình bị hổ bắt đi, vị brāhmaṇa đau khổ tột cùng. Ông bật khóc lớn: “Ôi người yêu dấu! Ôi nàng hiền dịu! Ôi ái thê! Ôi người vợ trọn đạo!”
