ब्रह्महत्यान्वितः कण्वो निस्तेजा व्यचरन्महीम् । व्यचरंश्चैव सम्प्राप्तो नर्मदामुरिसंगमे
brahmahatyānvitaḥ kaṇvo nistejā vyacaranmahīm | vyacaraṃścaiva samprāpto narmadāmurisaṃgame
Bị vướng tội brahmahatyā (sát hại Bà-la-môn), Kaṇva mất hết quang huy và lang thang khắp cõi đất. Trong cuộc phiêu du ấy, ông đến sông Narmadā tại Urisaṅgama.
