Type: ghat
Listener: Pāṇḍunandana
Scene: At a river ghat, a pilgrim offers food and cloth to a needy traveler and a brahmin; above, a symbolic ‘akṣaya’ pot (pūrṇa-kumbha) glows, indicating imperishable fruit.
Giving with sincerity and within one’s means, especially at a sacred place, is praised as yielding enduring spiritual merit.
The same tīrtha in the Bhīmeśvara context is implied; it is presented as a place where dāna becomes akṣaya (imperishable).
Dāna (charity/gifting) performed in proportion to one’s capacity at the tīrtha.
