ईश्वर उवाच । चित्रसेन इति ख्यातः काशीराजः पुराभवत् । शूरो दाता सुधर्मात्मा सर्वकामसमृद्धिमान्
īśvara uvāca | citrasena iti khyātaḥ kāśīrājaḥ purābhavat | śūro dātā sudharmātmā sarvakāmasamṛddhimān
Īśvara phán: Thuở xưa có một vị vua xứ Kāśī nổi danh là Citrasena—dũng mãnh, rộng lòng bố thí, tâm hằng thuận theo Chánh pháp, và đầy đủ phúc lộc để thành tựu mọi ước nguyện đáng lành.
