Type: ghat
Listener: Yudhiṣṭhira (addressed as nara-īśvara)
Scene: A pilgrim at a river-ghāṭ completes a ritual bath, then stands facing the sun for sandhyā, and finally offers bilva leaves and water to a Śiva-liṅga shrine nearby.
Pilgrimage is perfected by disciplined practice—bath, sandhyā worship, and devotion to Śiva.
The verse refers to “that tīrtha,” i.e., Dārutīrtha in Revā Khaṇḍa.
Snāna (ritual bath) performed properly, sandhyā-upāsanā, and Śaṅkara arcana (worship).
