मनोभववशीभूतो हयो भूत्वा लघुक्रमः । विस्फुरन्ती यथाप्राणं धावमाना इतस्ततः
manobhavavaśībhūto hayo bhūtvā laghukramaḥ | visphurantī yathāprāṇaṃ dhāvamānā itastataḥ
Bị Manobhava (Thần Ái Dục) chế ngự, Ngài hóa thành một tuấn mã bước nhẹ mà nhanh; còn vị Nữ Thần thì run rẩy như hơi thở dâng trào, chạy quẩn quanh đây đó.
Śrī Mārkaṇḍeya (narrating to Yudhiṣṭhira)
Scene: A swift horse (Sūrya transformed) darts through Meru’s forest; the mare-form goddess trembles and runs in zigzags, breath visible as motion lines; the scene is kinetic, charged with pursuit and anxiety.
It highlights how unchecked desire (kāma) can overpower beings and drive frantic, destabilizing behavior.
This verse is part of the Revā Khaṇḍa narrative stream that culminates in Narmadā-region tīrtha praise; the specific tīrtha emphasis appears more explicitly in the following verses (Bhṛgukaccha/Narmadā-taṭa).
No direct ritual is prescribed in this verse; it is narrative setup.
