The Esoteric Teaching on Umā’s Kriyāyoga
य एनां शृणुयाद्भक्त्या श्रावयेद्वा समाहितः । पठेद्वा पाठयेद्वापि स याति परमां गतिम्
ya enāṃ śṛṇuyādbhaktyā śrāvayedvā samāhitaḥ | paṭhedvā pāṭhayedvāpi sa yāti paramāṃ gatim
Ai nghe điều này với lòng sùng kính, hoặc với tâm chuyên nhất khiến người khác được nghe; ai tụng đọc, hay khiến người khác tụng đọc—người ấy đạt đến cảnh giới tối thượng (giải thoát cao nhất do Śiva ban).

Significance: Phalaśruti frames śravaṇa–pāṭha as a direct means to Śiva’s anugraha culminating in paramā gati (mokṣa).

It is a phalaśruti stating that devotional listening (śravaṇa), recitation (pāṭha), and enabling others to hear/recite—done with a steady mind—lead to the supreme gati, i.e., Shiva-granted liberation.
The verse emphasizes bhakti expressed through hearing and chanting sacred Shiva-teachings; in Saguna worship, such śravaṇa and pāṭha typically accompany Linga-pūjā, stotra recitation, and kathā-śravaṇa as direct devotional offerings to Lord Shiva.
Regular śravaṇa (listening to Shiva Purana), pāṭha (recitation), and pravacana (making others hear) with samādhāna (mental collectedness); it can be paired with japa of “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” as a focused daily practice.
