शिवदूतेन युद्धनिश्चयः तथा देवदानवयुद्धारम्भः (Śiva’s Envoy and the Commencement of the Deva–Dānava War)
शिरांसि चिच्छिदुश्चैभिर्वीरास्तत्र महो त्सवाः । वीराणामुभयोश्चैव सैन्ययोर्गर्जतो रणे
śirāṃsi cicchiduścaibhirvīrāstatra maho tsavāḥ | vīrāṇāmubhayoścaiva sainyayorgarjato raṇe
Trong chiến địa ấy, các dũng sĩ hân hoan như giữa đại lễ, vung khí giới chém rơi đầu. Hai bên, quân đội của những bậc anh hùng gầm vang dữ dội khi trận chiến bùng cháy không ngừng.
