Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Type: rudram
Role: teaching
It presents sacred sound—Vedic chant, devotional song, and instrumental music—as a pure mode of seva (reverent attendance), showing that devotion expressed through śabda can sanctify the mind and align it with Shiva’s divine order.
Just as devotees worship Saguna Shiva in the Linga with mantra and stotra, here the same principle appears as honoring Shiva’s divine manifestation through Kumāra—approaching the divine form with auspicious chant and praise.
Kīrtana and mantra-japa: reciting Shiva mantras (especially the Panchakshara, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and singing hymns with attentive presence, treating sound itself as an offering in puja.
