śaṃkhāśca bahavo nedurbherī tūryāṇyanekaśaḥ | utsavastu mahānāsīddevānāṃ tuṣṭacetasām

The verse portrays auspicious sound (nāda) and communal rejoicing as outer signs of inner harmony: when dharma is restored and Shiva’s grace supports the cosmic order, even the devas become tuṣṭa-cetas—content in mind—reflecting a Shaiva view that true auspiciousness arises from alignment with Pati (Shiva).
Conch, drums, and instruments commonly accompany Saguna Shiva worship as expressions of bhakti and mangala (auspiciousness). The celebratory atmosphere mirrors temple-style Linga worship where sacred sound supports focused devotion and honors Shiva’s manifest, gracious presence.
Adopt nāda-oriented devotion: begin worship with auspicious sound (bell/conch where appropriate), then settle into japa of the Panchakshara—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—allowing outer sound to lead the mind inward to steady remembrance.
