भूमिस्तदक्षिपद्वह्नौ वह्निश्चाद्रौ स भूधरः । गंगायां सोऽक्षिपद्वेगात् तरंगैश्शरकानने
bhūmistadakṣipadvahnau vahniścādrau sa bhūdharaḥ | gaṃgāyāṃ so'kṣipadvegāt taraṃgaiśśarakānane
Từ mắt và chân của Ngài, đất bị ném vào lửa; ngọn lửa ấy lại bị quăng lên núi, và ngọn núi trở thành kẻ mang giữ sức cháy rực. Rồi do tốc lực của cú ném, nó bị phóng vào sông Gaṅgā; nơi đó, các làn sóng cuốn lấy năng lực mãnh liệt ấy, đưa về rừng Śara.

The verse emphasizes Saguna Śiva’s lordship over the tangible cosmos: earth, fire, mountains, and sacred rivers. Linga worship similarly approaches Śiva as immanent in the elements while pointing to His transcendent nirguṇa reality.
A practical takeaway is elemental purification through Śiva-upāsanā: recite the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with water-offering (arghya) to Gaṅgā/Śiva, and contemplate Śiva as the inner ruler of fire (tejas) and the flow of consciousness (jala).
