It highlights the primacy of śāstra-satya (the truth of the Vedas) and dharma: a personal demand is framed as subordinate to the cosmic order upheld by sacred authority, showing how worldly rites like marriage are to be aligned with auspiciousness and scriptural propriety.
In the Rudrasaṃhitā’s narrative world, the sanctity of rites ultimately rests on Pati (Śiva) as the ground of dharma; insisting on an “auspicious” marriage implies acting under the auspices of Śiva’s order, where Saguna Śiva supports household life and its samskāras as valid paths within dharma.
The verse implies śubha-kriyā (auspicious performance) and respect for śāstra; a practical takeaway is to begin major samskāras with Śiva-smaraṇa—reciting the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” and observing purity/auspicious timings as guided by dharma-śāstra.
