तेषां मध्ये तु कश्चिद्वै संग्रामे सम्मुखो न हि । सिंहं दृष्ट्वा यथा यांति मृगाश्चैव दिशो दश
teṣāṃ madhye tu kaścidvai saṃgrāme sammukho na hi | siṃhaṃ dṛṣṭvā yathā yāṃti mṛgāścaiva diśo daśa
Trong số họ, quả thật không một ai dám đứng đối diện chiến trận. Như bầy nai thấy sư tử liền chạy tán loạn về mười phương, họ cũng vậy, vì sợ hãi mà tan tác.

It contrasts worldly fear with dharmic steadfastness: when ego and ignorance dominate, beings scatter like deer; spiritual strength arises from alignment with Śiva’s order (dharma) and inner composure.
Saguna Śiva worship (Linga with mantra and devotion) trains the mind to remain ‘sammukha’—steady and present—rather than fleeing in agitation when confronted by powerful circumstances.
Japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with steady breath and Tripuṇḍra-bhasma remembrance supports fearlessness and one-pointedness, the opposite of scattering in ten directions.
