Description of the Battle between Tāraka and Kumāra
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Mantra:
Type: stotra
Offering: pushpa
It highlights stuti (devotional praise) as a direct expression of surrender to Pati (Shiva), where even devas and divine sages affirm His supremacy through acclamation and sacred speech.
The verse models Saguna-bhakti: Shiva is approached through audible praise, hymns, and reverent proclamation—core elements of Linga worship where stotra and nāma-japa accompany offerings.
Stotra-pāṭha and nāma-japa—repeating victory acclamations and praising Shiva with auspicious words—can be integrated with simple worship such as offering water to the Linga and reciting the Panchakshara mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya).
