Sukta 8.21
विद्मा सखित्वमुत शूर भोज्यमा ते ता वज्रिन्नीमहे । उतो समस्मिन्ना शिशीहि नो वसो वाजे सुशिप्र गोमति ॥
vidmā́ sakhitvám uta śūra bhojyàm ā́ te tā́ vajrinn īmahe | utó samasmínnā́ śiśīhi no vaso vā́je suśipra gómatī ||
Chúng con biết tình bằng hữu của Ngài, và cũng biết sự ban phát anh hùng của bậc dũng sĩ; vì thế, hỡi Đấng cầm vajra, chúng con tiến đến để thỉnh cầu những ân huệ ấy. Và ngay trong sự đồng hành này, hỡi Vasu, xin mài sắc chúng con—hỡi Đấng môi đẹp—trong sự sung mãn của sức lực, giàu ánh sáng và đàn bò.
