उदस्तम्भीत्समिधा नाकमृष्वोऽग्निर्भवन्नुत्तमो रोचनानाम् । यदी भृगुभ्यः परि मातरिश्वा गुहा सन्तं हव्यवाहं समीधे ॥

úd astambhīt samídhā nā́kam ṛ́ṣvo 'gnír bhávann uttamó rocanā́nām | yadī́ bhṛ́gubhyaḥ pári mātáriśvā guhā́ sántaṃ havyavā́haṃ samī́dhe ||

Nhờ củi mồi, Người đã chống đỡ bầu trời; Agni cao vời trở thành đấng tối thượng giữa các cõi rực sáng. Khi Mātariśvan, vì các Bhṛgu, đã nhóm lên Đấng mang lễ vật (havyavāha) vốn ẩn kín trong chốn bí mật.
