Sukta 1.40

Devata: Brahmaṇaspati; also Sūnṛtā (personified) and the Gods collectively

प्रैतु ब्रह्मणस्पतिः प्र देव्येतु सूनृता । अच्छा वीरं नर्यं पङ्क्तिराधसं देवा यज्ञं नयन्तु नः ॥

práitu bráhmaṇaspátiḥ prá devyétu sūnṛ́tā | ácchā vīráṃ náryaṃ paṅktí-rādhasam devā́ yajñáṃ nayantu naḥ ||

Nguyện Brahmaṇaspati tiến bước; nguyện quyền năng thần linh của lời nói chân thật, tốt lành (sūnṛtā) cũng tiến lên. Hướng về vị anh hùng, về sức mạnh nam nhi, về sự viên mãn có trật tự—nguyện các Thần dẫn dắt lễ tế của chúng con, đưa lễ hiến nội tâm đến chỗ thành tựu.
