Sugriva’s Coronation and Angada’s Installation
एवमुक्त्वा हनूमन्तं रामस्सुग्रीवमब्रवीत्।।वृत्तज्ञो वृत्तसम्पन्नमुदारबलविक्रमम्।
evam uktvā hanūmantaṃ rāmaḥ sugrīvam abravīt | vṛttajño vṛttasampannam udārabalavikramam || 4.26.11 ||
Nói như vậy với Hanūmān xong, Rāma—bậc am tường chánh hạnh—liền ngỏ lời cùng Sugrīva, người có đức hạnh, đầy đủ sức mạnh cao quý và dũng mãnh.
Having thus spoken to Hanuman, Rama who knew etiquette addressed mighty Sugriva, endowed with wisdom:
Maryādā (ethical propriety): Rāma’s speech is framed as guidance grounded in right conduct, showing how dharma is communicated with restraint and respect.
As succession matters proceed, the narration shifts to Rāma directly counseling Sugrīva after speaking to Hanūmān.
Courtesy and moral authority—Rāma advises as one established in disciplined conduct.
