Transliteration

dvātriṃśac ca sahasrāṇi varṣāṇi sumahāyaśāḥ |

tapovanaṃ gato rāma svargaṃ lebhe tapodhanaḥ || 1.42.4 ||

Translation

Hỡi Rāma, bậc danh tiếng lẫy lừng ấy đã vào rừng tu khổ hạnh suốt ba mươi hai nghìn năm; chỉ giàu có bằng tapas, ông đạt đến cõi trời—nhưng vẫn chưa trọn được chí nguyện.
