FAQs

Aṅgiras is a revered Vedic sage (ṛṣi) frequently appearing in Purāṇic genealogies; here he is presented as receiving two daughters, indicating a lineage link in the creation-era family trees.

It refers to the detailed account of how the “Divine Mothers” (devamātṛs) generate and expand progeny—i.e., a structured genealogy explaining the proliferation of beings or lineages in the creation narrative.

The verse frames creation as an ordered transmission of lineage and responsibility; it invites attentive listening to sacred history, emphasizing learning through śravaṇa (hearing) and respect for cosmic and ancestral origins.
