Concept: Merit and grace can yield exalted states—immortality-like longevity, prosperity, and siddhi—yet Padma’s Vaishnava arc often implies these are stepping-stones toward higher devotion and imperishable divine refuge.

Application: Treat success and ‘siddhi’ as responsibilities; align prosperity with dharma and devotion (charity, service, restraint) rather than ego.

FAQs

It promises an exalted state: immortality (amaratva), freedom from aging (nirjaratva), imperishability (akṣayatva), along with complete worldly fulfillment and spiritual perfections (siddhis).

In Purāṇic usage it can include yogic attainments (siddhis) as well as broader forms of divine success; the verse frames them as endowments accompanying a blessed, perfected condition.

Such verses typically reinforce that righteous conduct, devotion, or meritorious acts (depending on the chapter’s context) culminate in both inner perfection and lasting well-being.
