Suta (narrating Narada Purana’s Tirtha-Mahatmya section)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It presents Prayāga and the Gaṅgā (Jahnavi) as a cosmic tirtha-network—holy presence spanning heaven, earth, and the mid-region—emphasizing that Prayāga is divinely protected and uniquely sanctifying.
By highlighting Prayāga’s guardianship and Gaṅgā’s sacred reach, it encourages devotional pilgrimage, reverent bathing, and remembrance of holy places as supportive acts that purify the mind and strengthen bhakti-oriented life.
Primarily Kalpa (ritual practice): it implies the authority of tirtha-snāna and pilgrimage observances at Prayāga; it also reflects Purāṇic sacred geography used to time and structure vows and rites.
