Glory of Prayaga and the Magha Bath at Triveni
Narada (tirtha-mahatmya narration within Uttara-Bhaga)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: karuna
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It emphasizes the extraordinary sanctifying power of a tīrtha: even after enjoying worldly life, remembrance of the holy place draws one back, and death at Koṭitīrtha is presented as yielding a supreme purifying outcome.
Bhakti here is reflected as smaraṇa (remembrance): the mind returning to the tīrtha signifies sustained sacred memory, which in Purāṇic practice supports devotion and reorientation toward liberation.
No specific Vedāṅga technique is taught; the practical takeaway is tīrtha-yātrā discipline—reverent remembrance (smaraṇa), pilgrimage (yātrā), and the Purāṇic framework of merit (puṇya) linked to sacred geography.
