यावत्संतर्पयेन्मंत्री तावत्संख्यं जपेन्मनुम् । तर्पणेनैव कार्याणि साधयेदखिलान्यपि ॥ १३५ ॥
yāvatsaṃtarpayenmaṃtrī tāvatsaṃkhyaṃ japenmanum | tarpaṇenaiva kāryāṇi sādhayedakhilānyapi || 135 ||
Trong thời gian bao lâu người trì chú thực hiện tarpaṇa để làm thỏa mãn, bấy lâu người ấy cũng nên tụng niệm thần chú đúng theo cùng số lần ấy. Quả thật, chỉ nhờ tarpaṇa mà mọi mục đích nghi lễ khác cũng có thể được thành tựu.
