तस्याः पुरस्तान्नृहरिं निघ्नन्तं रिपुमण्डलम् । स्मृत्वा जपं प्रकुर्वीत यावदायाति सा पुनः ॥ ७५ ॥
tasyāḥ purastānnṛhariṃ nighnantaṃ ripumaṇḍalam | smṛtvā japaṃ prakurvīta yāvadāyāti sā punaḥ || 75 ||
Trước mặt nàng, hãy quán niệm Nṛhari (Narasimha) đang đánh tan vòng vây kẻ thù, rồi trì tụng thần chú (japa) cho đến khi nàng trở lại.
Narada (teaching in an instructional context within the Third Pada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: vira
It teaches a protective sādhanā that combines smaraṇa (devotional remembrance) of Nṛhari with disciplined japa, presenting Narasimha as the remover of hostile forces and inner obstacles.
Bhakti is expressed through vivid meditation on Viṣṇu’s Narasimha form and steady mantra recitation; remembrance (smṛti/smaraṇa) and japa are shown as practical acts of devotion that sustain the practitioner until the desired auspicious outcome occurs.
The verse highlights the applied discipline of mantra-japa (correct, sustained recitation) joined with mental visualization (smṛtvā), reflecting a technical, practice-oriented approach typical of Third Pada discussions of ritual and allied sciences.
