FAQs

It frames the teaching with a devotional invocation: success (artha-siddhi) is sought through surrender to the Ādi Puruṣa, the supreme divine source whose avatāras guide the world.

Bhakti is shown as reverent worship and salutations to the Lord—specifically to His avatāra-forms revered even by great sages—implying that devotion to Vishnu’s manifestations is a direct, sanctioned means to attain one’s spiritual goal.

The verse primarily functions as a maṅgala/namaskāra (auspicious salutation) rather than a Vedāṅga instruction; it highlights the practical principle of beginning discourse or ritual study with invocatory praise for successful completion.
