तिथयस्तुप्रशस्तास्युर्मध्यमा प्रतिपत्सिता । षष्ठ्यां तैलं तथाष्टम्यां मासं क्षौरं कलेस्तिथौ ॥ १४० ॥

Transliteration

tithayastupraśastāsyurmadhyamā pratipatsitā | ṣaṣṭhyāṃ tailaṃ tathāṣṭamyāṃ māsaṃ kṣauraṃ kalestithau || 140 ||

Translation

Trong các tithi, những tithi ở giữa được xem là cát tường; và Pratipat (ngày mồng một) cũng được chấp thuận. Vào ngày Ṣaṣṭhī (mồng sáu) nên thoa dầu; vào ngày Aṣṭamī (mồng tám) nên thực hành một pháp tu theo tháng; và vào tithi của Kāla (Thời gian/Tử thần) thì nên cạo tóc.
