FAQs

This verse is not about Pralaya; it preserves Vedic-style sacrificial procedure, showing how cosmic deities (Soma, Agni, Bhauma) are approached through precise mantras and offerings.

It supports the householder’s (and by extension a king’s) dharma of maintaining sacred fires and performing regulated offerings—upholding order through correct mantra-recitation and oblations to key deities.

Ritually, it specifies the exact mantras for offerings to Soma and for invoking Agni’s cosmic status (“head of heaven”), plus a directed recitation for Bhauma—highlighting mantra-precision in homa practice.
