Adhyaya 63 — The Birth of Svarocis and the Rescue of Manoramā: The Astra-Heart and the Healing of Curses
नष्टस्मृतिर्यदा क्रुद्धः स्वमपत्यञ्चिखादिषुः ।
निशाचरत्बं गन्तासि तदस्त्रानलतापितः ॥
naṣṭa-smṛtir yadā kruddhaḥ svam apatyam cikhādiṣuḥ | niśācaratvaṃ gantāsi tad-astrānala-tāpitaḥ ||
“Khi đã mất ký ức, ngươi nổi giận và (toan) nuốt chửng chính con cái mình, thì—bị thiêu đốt bởi lửa của binh khí—ngươi sẽ rơi vào cảnh giới của kẻ du hành đêm tối (niśācara).”

Anger coupled with delusion (loss of discernment/memory) drives one toward the gravest violations of dharma (violence against one’s own), and such inner collapse is portrayed as producing an outer ‘demonic’ condition.
