Chapter 55
एष शान्तनवो भीष्म: सर्वेषां न: पितामह: । राजश्रियाभिवृद्धश्न सुयोधनवशानुग:
arjuna uvāca | eṣa śāntanavo bhīṣmaḥ sarveṣāṃ naḥ pitāmahaḥ | rājaśriyābhivṛddho 'pi suyodhana-vaśānugaḥ |
Arjuna nói: “Kia chính là Bhīṣma, con của Śāntanu—bậc tổ phụ của tất cả chúng ta. Dẫu được tôn vinh và giàu sang bởi vinh quang vương quyền, ngài vẫn thuận theo quyền lực của Suyodhana. Thấy một bậc trưởng thượng đáng kính như thế, vì trung thành và hoàn cảnh mà bị ràng buộc vào một chính nghĩa bất chính, khiến tâm trí ta bừng cháy bởi sầu đau và nỗi dằn vặt đạo lý.”
