Agastya’s Encounter with Ilvala and Vātāpi; Dāna, Progeny, and the Renown of Agastya-Āśrama

गड्जाद्वारमथागम्य भगवानृषिसत्तम: | उग्रमातिष्ठत तप: सह पत्न्यानुकूलया,तदनन्तर मुनिश्रेष्ठ भगवान्‌ अगस्त्य अपनी अनुकूल पत्नीके साथ गंगाद्वार (हरिद्वार)- में आकर घोर तपस्यामें संलग्न हो गये

gaṅgādvāram athāgamya bhagavān ṛṣisattamaḥ | ugram ātiṣṭhata tapaḥ saha patnyānukūlayā ||

Bấy giờ, bậc Thánh hiền Agastya, đệ nhất trong hàng ẩn sĩ, đến Gaṅgādvāra (Haridwar). Tại đó, cùng người vợ hiền thuận và tận tụy, ngài chuyên tâm thực hành khổ hạnh nghiêm khắc với ý chí kiên định.
