Avanti–Narmadā–Puṣkara Tīrtha-Kathana (धौम्यकथितं तीर्थवर्णनम्)

यत्रायजत भूतात्मा पूर्वमेव पितामह: । प्रयागमिति विख्यातं तस्माद्‌ भरतसत्तम

yatrāyajata bhūtātmā pūrvam eva pitāmahaḥ | prayāgam iti vikhyātaṃ tasmād bharatasattama ||

Vaiśampāyana nói: “Vì Đấng Tổ Phụ (Pitāmaha)—xưa cũ, tinh thần bao trùm khắp—đã từng cử hành tế lễ tại đó thuở trước, nên nơi ấy được biết đến với danh xưng Prayāga, hỡi bậc ưu tú trong dòng Bharata.”
