Śiva Grants the Pāśupata Astra (Pāśupata-Śastra Upadeśa) | शिवेन पाशुपतास्त्रदानम्

एभिस्तदा मया वीर संग्रामे तारकामये । दैतेयानां सहस्नाणि संयतानि महात्मनाम्‌,“वीर! मैंने इन पाशोंद्वारा तारकामय संग्राममें सहस्रों महाकाय दैत्योंको बाँध लिया था

ebhis tadā mayā vīra saṅgrāme tārakāmaye | daiteyānāṃ sahasrāṇi saṃyatāni mahātmanām ||

Vaiśampāyana nói: “Hỡi dũng sĩ, trong trận chiến kỳ diệu rực sao ấy, chính bằng những trói buộc này mà ta từng kiềm tỏa hàng nghìn Daitya—những kẻ đại hồn, sức lực mênh mông.”
