Shloka 3

तानब्रुवन्‌ महात्मान: स्थिता: प्राजजलयस्तदा । अभ्यनुज्ञापयिष्यन्तस्तं निवासं धृतव्रता:

vaiśampāyana uvāca | tān abruvan mahātmānaḥ sthitāḥ prāñjalayas tadā | abhyanujñāpayiṣyantas taṃ nivāsaṃ dhṛtavratāḥ ||

Vaiśampāyana nói: Bấy giờ những bậc đại hồn ấy, kiên định trong giới nguyện, chắp tay đứng dậy mà thưa—xin được chuẩn thuận về cách thức cư trú mà họ đã định, tức cuộc ẩn cư che giấu thân phận sắp bước vào. Cảnh ấy nêu bật ý chí kỷ luật và lòng kính trọng đối với sự cho phép chính đáng, trước khi đi vào một giai đoạn sống kín đáo đầy hệ trọng về đạo lý.
