नहितां वेद नार्यन्या काचिद् धात्रेयिकामृते । कन्यापुरगतां बालां निपुणां परिरक्षणे,एक धायके सिवा दूसरी कोई स्त्री भी इसका पता न पा सकी। कुन्ती सदा कन्याओंके अन्तःपुरमें रहती थी एवं अपने रहस्यको छिपानेमें वह अत्यन्त निपुण थी
Vaiśaṃpāyana uvāca: na hi tāṃ veda nāry anyā kācid dhātreyikām ṛte | kanyāpuragatāṃ bālāṃ nipuṇāṃ parirakṣaṇe ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana nói: Không một người đàn bà nào khác hay biết tình trạng của nàng, trừ người vú nuôi. Thiếu nữ ấy ở mãi trong khuê phòng của các trinh nữ, và nàng vô cùng khéo léo trong việc giữ kín bí mật—che giấu bằng sự tự chủ và thận trọng tinh tế.
