Ajñātavāsa-saṅkalpaḥ — Yudhiṣṭhira’s Resolve and Dhaumya’s Exempla on Concealment
एवं तस्यै वरं दत्त्वा धर्मराज: प्रतापवान् । निवर्तयित्वा सावित्रीं सस््वमेव भवनं ययौ,सावित्रीको इस प्रकार वरदान दे प्रतापी धर्मराज उसे लौटाकर अपने लोकको चले गये
evaṁ tasyai varaṁ dattvā dharmarājaḥ pratāpavān | nivartayitvā sāvitrīṁ sa svam eva bhavanaṁ yayau ||
Thế rồi, sau khi ban ân huệ cho Savitrī, đấng Dharmarāja oai hùng (Diêm Vương) khiến nàng quay trở lại, còn chính Ngài thì trở về cõi của mình.
यम उवाच
Dharma, expressed through truthful and principled speech, has transformative power: even the strict lord of justice responds when a request is aligned with righteousness and granted through a proper boon, preserving moral and cosmic order.
After Savitrī’s steadfast pursuit and dharmic dialogue, Yama (Dharmarāja) grants her a boon, turns her back from following him further, and then departs to his own realm—marking the conclusion of this phase of the encounter.
