रावण–मारीचसंवादः तथा मृगप्रलोभनपूर्वकं सीताहरणोपक्रमः
Rāvaṇa–Mārīca Dialogue and the Decoy-Deer Prelude to Sītā’s Abduction
तस्मात् त्वमपि कौन्तेय न शोकं कर्तुमहसि । राज्यात् स्फीतात् परिगभ्रष्टसतपसा तदवाप्स्यसि,कुन्तीनन्दन! इसलिये तुम भी समृद्धिशाली राज्यसे भ्रष्ट होनेके कारण शोक न करो; तपस्याद्वारा तुम उसे प्राप्त कर लोगे
tasmāt tvam api kaunteya na śokaṃ kartum arhasi | rājyāt sphītāt paribhraṣṭas tapasa tad avāpsyasi, kuntīnandana ||
Vì thế, hỡi con của Kuntī, ngươi chớ để lòng chìm trong sầu muộn. Dẫu đã mất khỏi vương quốc phồn thịnh, ngươi sẽ giành lại được nó nhờ tapas—khổ hạnh và nỗ lực có kỷ luật.
