रावण–मारीचसंवादः तथा मृगप्रलोभनपूर्वकं सीताहरणोपक्रमः

नातप्ततपस: पुंसो नामहायज्ञयाजिन: । नानृता नास्तिकाश्वैव तत्र गच्छन्ति मुदूगल,मुद्गल! जिन्होंने तपस्या नहीं की है, बड़े-बड़े यज्ञोंद्वारा यजन नहीं किया है तथा जो असत्यवादी एवं नास्तिक हैं, वे उस लोकमें नहीं जा पाते हैं

nātapta-tapasaḥ puṃso nāmahā-yajña-yājinaḥ | nānṛtā nāstikāś caiva tatra gacchanti mudgala ||

Sứ giả thần linh nói: “Hỡi Mudgala, những kẻ không tu khổ hạnh, không cúng tế bằng các đại tế lễ, lại nói dối và vô tín—những người ấy không thể đạt đến cõi ấy.”
