पर्वताक्ष शतघ्न्यक्ष प्रासासिपरिघा गदा: । निपतद्धिश्व तैघेरिदेवानीकं महायुधै:
parvatākṣa-śataghnīyakṣa-prāsāsi-parighā gadāḥ | nipatad dhiśva tais tīvrair devānīkaṁ mahāyudhaiḥ ||
Mārkaṇḍeya nói: “Rồi bấy giờ, bằng những vũ khí hùng mạnh—những vật phóng như đá núi, chùy nặng, giáo, kiếm, gậy sắt và chùy—đạo quân chư thiên bị đánh trúng từ mọi phía, khi những binh khí dữ dội ấy trút xuống như mưa. Cảnh tượng ấy cho thấy ngay cả một đạo quân chính nghĩa cũng có thể bị thử thách bởi sức mạnh áp đảo, và giữa cơn hỗn loạn chiến trường, lòng can đảm cùng sự vững tâm là điều bắt buộc.”
