Vaiśampāyana uvāca: śrutvā sa rājā rājarṣer indradyumnasya tat tadā | mārkaṇḍeyān mahābhāgāt svargasya pratipādanam ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: Khi ấy, nhà vua (Yudhiṣṭhira), sau khi nghe từ đại hiền giả đầy phúc đức Mārkaṇḍeya câu chuyện về vua Indradyumna và việc đạt đến cõi trời, liền suy ngẫm trọn vẹn ý nghĩa của điều ấy.
