ब्राह्मणानुयात्रा—शौनकोपदेशः

Brāhmaṇas Follow into Exile and Śaunaka’s Instruction

शिक्षोदरकृते<प्राज्ञ: करोति विघसं बहु | मोहरागवशाक्रान्त इन्द्रियार्थवशानुग:,अज्ञानी मनुष्य अपनी जननेन्द्रिय तथा उदरकी तृप्तिके लिये मोह एवं रागके वशीभूत हो विषयोंका अनुसरण करता हुआ नाना प्रकारकी विषय-सामग्रीको यज्ञावशेष मानकर उसका संग्रह करता है

śikṣodarākṛte prājñaḥ karoti vighasaṃ bahu | moharāgavaśākrānta indriyārthavaśānugaḥ ||

Bị khuất phục bởi mê muội và ái luyến, kẻ vô minh—làm nô lệ cho sức hút của các đối tượng giác quan—tích góp vô số thú hưởng, coi chúng như thể là vighasa, phần dư của tế lễ, chỉ để thỏa mãn giác quan và cái bụng của mình.
