Āraṇyaka-parva, Adhyāya 17 — Śālva’s encampment and the Yādava counter-engagement at Dvārakā
विक्षिपन् नादयंश्वापि धनु: श्रेष्ठ महाबल: । तूणखड्गधर: शूरो बद्धगोधाड्गुलित्रवान्
vikṣipan nādayaṁśvāpi dhanuḥ śreṣṭha mahābalaḥ | tūṇa-khaḍga-dharaḥ śūro baddha-godhā-aṅgulitravān
Dẫu không bật dây cung cho vang tiếng, cũng không làm cây cung ngân rền, vị dũng sĩ đại lực ấy—bậc cường tráng bậc nhất—vẫn tiến động trong sự sẵn sàng được kiềm chế, mang theo ống tên và gươm, lại đeo miếng bảo vệ ngón cái bằng da kỳ đà (godhā) đã buộc chặt.
