Adhyāya 168: Arjuna’s counters to māyā-rains and the onset of darkness

एष ते निशितैर्बाणैर्दर्प हन्मि स्थिरो भव । स धनुष्मान् महाकायस्ततो मामभ्यभाषत
eṣa te niśitair bāṇair darpa hanmi sthiro bhava | sa dhanuṣmān mahākāyas tato mām abhyabhāṣata ||
Arjuna nói: “Hãy đứng vững! Với những mũi tên sắc này, ta sẽ nghiền nát lòng kiêu mạn của ngươi.” Khi ấy, người Kirāta—một cung thủ lực lưỡng, thân hình vĩ đại—đáp lại ta, lời lẽ cũng sắc bén chẳng kém, như cuộc chạm trán dần hóa thành phép thử của sức mạnh và tự chủ.
